Chen Style Taijiquan 36 Part Combination Form
The 36 part form is the second form that I teach in the Chen Style taijiquan syllabus which I have inherited form 11th generation lineage holder Gou Kongjie The 36 part form is a natural progression from the beginners 11 part form.
The 36 part form is a combination form, combining the long, slow, old frame form of laojia yilu with the short, explosive form of laojia erlu.
The 36 part form is an obviously more athletic progression from the 11 part form helping to further improve strength, agility and balance with the increased challenge of upholding the Tai Chi body mechanics with more complex moves.
The video below is intended as an informal demonstration and simple reference for my students in Bournemouth, Dorset and online.
