Home Made Hummus

Hummus is so easy to make and so much better for you than a shop brought alternative. It will also keep in the fridge for a good few days making it a perfect snack to go with carrot sticks, cucumber or peppers.

Ingredients 

1 tin / 400g chickpeas (keep a few chickpeas for serving)

Juice of 2 lemons 

2 cloves of garlic 

100ml of tahini (sesame seed paste)

80ml of water

3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

Sea salt to taste 

1/2 a teaspoon of paprika

Method

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and blend to a creamy paste.

spoon into a serving bowl. Poor a little extra virgin olive oil on, and dress with the left over chickpeas and a little sprinkle of paprika.
